fear


			     something's
			      not right
			    eyes turn head
	left
	and see kitchen
					right
					   there's
					   nothing
					   in the living room

					sounds	

					   breathing

					   arms shake
					   chills
					   run scalp
					   spine

					whispers

				back
			     face to face
			    two floors up
			      watching

			   waiting for me

lurch to a corner
don't look
don't move
			
			     the floor
			       creaks
