Overlays

	   I.	Even now, back in our old home,
		I move with the accumulation
		of our separateness--

		   I look over my shoulder
for your clock in the bathroom

I reach for our old silverware drawer
in the kitchen, empty and still unused

		Even over in Aaron's apartment
I moved with the same memory

	 III.	Thunder rumbles, dull, overhead
		Rain patterns on the roof
I think of you, smile in the dark,
		and still love you--
		even now, alone

I wonder if this is peace?
