sky and ocean





					drowning in blue

treetops wave like anemone
branches sudden
and three dimensional

stones in the wall glare
each distinct				as the blades of grass
					resonate

					cirrus fingerprints

		the wind plays across my lawn

	currents eddy and swirl	 	      tidal
	light glints the blades		      hones the signature of the sun

					      reflected in water

	   as i trace the ripples of a stream
				count the petals in a pride of dandelions
	
			the grains of sand along the new jersey shore


	
	and watch the movement of continental drift
