the stars have fallen
as tiny on my floor as they were above


the stars have fallen
strange constellations pool at my feet
they loll on the floor like drunken marbles
and cling to my toes like glitter dust


the stars have fallen
sky black---and unnavigable
sky blank---and unnameable


the stars have fallen
faint
they wink out 
one by one---darkening, dwindling
dimming


the stars have fallen
how will i sleep again?
how will i find my way home?
