This episode is a tribute to the late great Ricardo Montalban whose character Khan Noonien Singh from Star Trek will always be among my favorite villains of all time. Montalban's Khan has been the model for my parody of the god of Air and Archery, Phaulkon for a long time now, all the way back to the first Gods in Space episode. You will notice the similarity of punchlines as these two strips start to nonsequentially converge at last. This means the Phaulkon we saw 122 issues ago was not in fact Oerth's Phaulkon (dressed like an evil Ricardo Montalban), but rather Uerth's version- (the very Montalbanian) Phaulkhan as we know well from the continuing adventures of Zagig and crew. After this episode's treachery, and knowing already what will happen in the future with Phaulkhan, all we need to find out now is how Phaulkaun comes to ally with a couple Olman deities. Hmmm. That's all I'm saying for now! More next time! ;)
