- Pluffet Smedger the Elder examines a centuries-old copy of volume 3 of Catalogue of the Land Flanaess, being the Eastern Part of the Continent of Oerik, of Oerth, by the Savant-Sage of Greyhawk. This volume—entitled A Guide to the World of Greyhawk—was discovered in an illithid's cave in the Riftcanyon, and brought to the Royal University of Rel Mord. Smedger is impressed by the Guide's freshness and thoroughness. (Glossography p.2)
