Shorewatch is a castle in Nesserhead, in the Duchy of Urnst.
Description
[edit | edit source]The duke’s family established this beautiful castle in 237 CY.[1] It is currently maintained by Lady Arlina Lorinar, Shorewatch Chatelaine.[2] House Kaste and House Schrie both have waterfront properties and naval positions here.[3]
Geography
[edit | edit source]Shorewatch is in Nesserhead, about 20 miles east-southeast of Leukish, nestled on the western bank of the Nesser River, where the river mouth opens to the Nyr Dyv.[4]
History
[edit | edit source]A fellowship of wizard's aided Duchess Beatrude Urlirel in construction of the castle. In gratitude she granted a permanent lease to lands on the wooded hills south of Nellix which would become the College of Sages and Sorcery.[5]
Jolen and Broden Lorinar used the castle to meet with White Harts allies when Ellis Lorinar declare himself Regent in 595 CY.[6]
Military
[edit | edit source]The Ducal Guard keeps a unit of elite heavy infantry stationed here.[7]
The Warders of the Border Marches, many of whom come from Stalwart Pines Ranger School, is the only regular military unit to be headquartered at the castle.[8]
Economy
[edit | edit source]Uses the duchy's standard coinage consisting of the platinum sterling duke (pp), gold duke (gp), electrum bright (ep), silver shield (sp), and copper common (cp).[9]
