Stringen is a town near the edge of the Adri Forest in the Northern part of what was once The Great Kingdom of Aerdy. As of 585 CY, the town is under the control of Prince Rishern, who, in turn in liege to Prince Hastern of Edgefield, and fully allied with him. The town is used to keep an eye of the Highlander Castles, as well as acting as a launching point for many raids into the Adri forest. Prince Rishern has a decently sized army, which contains, though it is not widely known, a dozen Barbazu[1].
Geography
[edit | edit source]The town is located directly north of Edge Field about equidistant between Edge Field and the Highlander Castles, on the very northern edge of the Adri forest.
People
[edit | edit source]Notable individuals
[edit | edit source]Though the town is technically controlled by Prince Rishern, most agree that the power behind the throne is a mage by the name of Zebbenen, who as an inordiante amount of control over the Prince, especially given that he has only been on town for two years [1].
Rumors and legends
[edit | edit source]Zebbenen is the source of many rumors among the people of Stringen. Firstly, he is said to work for Prince Hastern and be fully controlling Prince Rishern on his behalf. He also draw suspicion for the many trips into the Adri forest he leads, allegedly looking for something important, but none of the soldiers accompanying him ever seem to be able to remember the trip with any detail. Many serfs and atrisans in the surrounding area also suffer from blackouts and bouts of amnesia, which remain unexplained[1].
