Telanetecuhli is a city-state in the southeast Amedio Jungle
Description
[edit | edit source]Telanetecuhli is a closed-off, isolated city, intentionally having closed its borders to prevent outsiders from interacting with its citizens. It is controlled entirely by its ruler, Zotlatlan. The city nearly fell to ...
History
[edit | edit source]Zotlatlan made a divine plea to Mictlantecuhtli to save his city, which was instead taken up by Zotzilaha, who "gifted" the king and his people with lycanthropsy as werebats.[1]
Geography
[edit | edit source]The city is inland from the Mist Kingdom. It lies mid-way along the Atikula River, after it branches from the Xatalati River which marks the northern border of Olman lands in the Amedio. The Atikula is difficult to cross because of the carnivorous fish (pirahna) there.[2]
People
[edit | edit source]The people of Telaneteculi all are unusual werebat who have a hereditary form of lycanthropsy that is not contagious to others.
The ruler of Telaneteculi is Zotlatlan, a unique, divinely-created creature known as a tlokazotz (an Olman bat-vampire). He is a priest (cleric) of both Camazotz (Zotzilaha) and Mictlantecuhtli.[3]
Languages
[edit | edit source]The Olman language is the primary means of communication for all people of Telaneteculi.
