Two Ford is a village in the Domain of Greyhawk with a reputation for kind and friendly merchants.[1]
Geography
[edit | edit source]Two Ford's name is literal, because it sits at the juncture of the Ery and Selintan Rivers. It sits between two fords along the River Road, one north-south across the Ery, and the other east-west across the Selintan. Just south of both is a ferry crossing over the Selintan.[2]
The from One Ford to Two Ford, including Five Oaks, is prone to periodic flooding from the Ery and Neen Rivers when storms come up from the Mistmarsh or Cairn Hills area.[3]
People
[edit | edit source]The folk of Two Ford have a reputation for being kind and good-hearted.

Demographics
[edit | edit source]Humans are the largest part of the populace (90%), but there are also gnomes and dwarves dwelling in the small settlement.[5]
Religion
[edit | edit source]The people of Two Ford are mostly followers of Zilchus. The village elders see to it that the youths of the village are raised in the way of the particular sect of Zilchus practiced here. They believe that "goodwill and good service to others is the key" to honoring Zilchus.[1]

[edit | edit source]There are 27 Greyhawk Militia stationed here, including junior sergeants and a commanding sergeant-at-arms.[5]
Despite the good-natured attitude of the populace, soldiers being posted here find it boring, and being posted here is viewed as a particular sign of disfavor in the Greyhawk Militia.[1]
Economy
[edit | edit source]All of the trade and commerce here is mostly geared specifically around . In addition to the many merchants in town, and plenty of inns/innkeepers, there are also blacksmiths, and other services and goods focusing on the industry of the boatmen on the Ery and Selintan. Marine supplies such as "rope, tar, tack, and the like" are common in supply shops.[1]
The upriver mining town, Diamond Lake, ships some of its ore to Two Ford, because it is cheaper to ship downriver to Two Ford to be sold, and from there to Greyhawk City and Hardby, than to pay for overland carting of the mines' products to the cities.[5]
