Zeif is a political state at the western edge of the Flanaess in the Baklunish Basin on the southern shores of the Dramidj Ocean.
Description
[edit | edit source]The Sultanate of Zeif is the westernmost state of the Flanaess, a portion of it extending beyond the north-south dividing line marked by the Ulsprue Range.[1]
History
[edit | edit source]The warm currents of the Dramidj make the land very rich, although the Sultan possesses few mineral resources save a secret source of chrysobervls and peridots which are so fine as to lie sought after as far east as Keoland. Furvondy, and beyond.[1]
Geography
[edit | edit source]The lands of the Sultan stretch from the Dramidj to south of the town of Antalotol, and border Ekbir and Tusmit.[1]
People
[edit | edit source]The native folk of Zeif are predominantly of Baklunish heritage.[1]

[edit | edit source]The people of Zeif most commonly worship the culturally traditional pantheon of Baklunish deities.[1]
Languages
[edit | edit source]While Common is spoken throughout Zeif, the traditional Ancient Baklunish language anD its dialects are spoken by most all peoples of the region.[1]
Government
[edit | edit source]Little is known of the Sultan or his court.[1]
Military
[edit | edit source]The army of Zeif is said to lie comprised mainly of superb mailed cavalry and huge footmen armed with two-handed swords. It is likely that numbers of mercenary Paynim horsemen are also enlisted in its ranks.[1]
