Anxann is the ruler of Kaport Bay and head of House Torquann in the area, with many of his cousins having holdings in the area around Kaport Bay[1]. He is turned into an animus by Overking, Ivid V, during the Greyhawk wars because Ivid did not trust Anxann and wanted to make sure he would properly support the Sea Barons. This leaves him bitter and he spends the following years isolated in his clifftop keep, brooding on how to eventually destroy Ivid.[1] He very rarely has any dealings with outside rulers, isolating himself as much as possible.[2]
Description

[edit | edit source]Anxann is 5' 10" with brown-hazel eyes and prematurely white hair.[2] At forty years old, he looks closer to sixty, thanks to his wrinkled and weathered face and his habit of stooping and shuffling gait which makes him appear shorter.[2] He tends to wear a robe covered in astrological symbols.
Religion
[edit | edit source]While he has no formal ties to any deity, Prince Anxann is a firm believer in astrology, in the positions of the stars and the power they hold. It is because of this he spends as much time brooding as he does, since he is firmly convinced that he will not be able to overthrow Ivid unless the stars are exactly aligned. To that end, he takes the astrologer Zwingell as his spiritual advisor (who most believe to be a hack).[1]
Possessions
[edit | edit source]Prince Anxann keeps magical items on his person including magical arms and armor, a ring of shooting stars, and—allegedly—a rod of rulership which is a family heirloom.
Relationships
[edit | edit source]Prince Elkrest is fond of Anxann and held him in high regard, having been fostered by Anxann's father in his youth, and was considers marrying Anxann's sister Siskinama, but he gives up on the idea when he finds out Anxann is an animus, and also hates the Overking for turning Anxann.[3]
