Kaport Bay is a fishing town on the northern coast of what is now North Kingdom, on the Solnor Ocean, due west of Bellport, which also serves as a base of operations for whalers.
History
[edit | edit source]During the Greyhawk Wars, The Overking did not trust Prince Anxann, and thus made him into an animus. Anxann is thus bagan to plot his revenge, but was hampered by his own conviction that he had to wait for the exact right alignment of stars, thus spent years brooding in his keep waiting for the right moment.[1]
Cityscape
[edit | edit source]The town is mostly dull, built of stone and without much in the way of entertainment. There two exceptions to this which are interconnected. The first is a series of sluices and wheels including a permanent reverse gravityspell which was created by a dwarven architect working with skilled enchanter, that bring the water up at high tide and desalinates the sea water separating out salt and drinking water, some of which is exported. The second is an automated whale flensing apparatus. The apparatus uses the water wheels as a motive force; whales are maneuvered into one end, and the components, blubber, blood, flesh and bone, come out the other end, perfectly separated. Nobody else has been able to replicate the apparatus since, and the ruins of failed attempts can be seen in Scarport.

[edit | edit source]Zwingell is an advisor to Prince Anxann, and a self-proclaimed expert in astrology, who is for the most part, a charlatan. He did predict one particularly nasty storm, and is held in high esteem by Anxann due because his warning saved several ships that would have most certainly been wrecked if they had gone out onto the water[1]. Otherwise he mostly "makes all manner of predictions pertaining to "The Dancer of Swords in the Heavens," "The Singing Sisters of Revenge in the constellation of the Druid," and the like.[1]". His predictions carry great weight with Prince Anxann, who supports him, letting him live in luxury.[1]
