Castle Seh was a castle in the Duchy of Urnst in the Eastern Abbor-Alz mountains.
Description
[edit source]Castle Seh once served as the capital of Eastern Abbor-Alz March, rising at the heart of the surrounding town of Seh.[1] It was never an impressive or ornamental keep; rather, it was a practical, no-nonsense fortress built to withstand the many dangers of the surrounding land.
Garrisoned by the East-March Ducal Guard, the castle safeguarded not only the town itself but also nearby settlements such as Scarsdale, Tolann, and Vorleen.[2]. Soldiers are posted both inside and outside the gates, ever watchful and prepared to seal the fortress at a moment’s notice. At least a dozen archers stand ready on the walls above the gate, bows always within reach.
Within easy arrow flight of the stone walls lie the clustered buildings of Seh, forming a town that depends heavily on the castle’s protection. Castle Seh may lack grandeur, but it remains a steadfast bastion on a dangerous frontier.
Geography
[edit source]Castle Seh was located in the Eastern Abbor-Alz March. The rocky rolling hills of the area are rich in natural beauty. Cascading waterfalls, lush forests, and stunning sunsets.
History
[edit source]Castle Seh held an important tactical and historical place in the history of the Duchy of Urnst. Built around a cathedral over a necropolis that had existed longer than the Duchy itself, it was a massive bastion of defense against the forces of Rary in the Bright Desert.[3] The cathedral was one of the Maure family's holdings and was a temple of Wee Jas.[4] It was ultimately destroyed because of this in 594 CY.[5]
