Elkerst is a prince of House Torquann who rules Atirr in North Province c.585 CY, He works with Prince Grenell though the two do not get along well, and generally keeps the city out of external conflict. He is well-liked as a ruler, because of his skill in trade negotiation.[1]
Description

[edit | edit source]Prince Elkerst is 6'2", and is strong and well-built. He has a full beard and brown hair which he wears long, and his forearms are rather hairy as well. He notably has a streak of white hair just behind his right ear, but is otherwise not greying at all.[2]
Personality
[edit | edit source]Elkerst is a hard but fair ruler, which has served him well in trade negotiations. He is cautious and not overly ambitious, thus steering Atirr away from needless conflict.
Possessions
[edit | edit source]Prince Elkerst possesses a number of magical items.[2] In addition to various typical items, he wields a unique weapon made by Morrkend—a singing defender longsword +4, which is capable of emanating a huge ripple of sound (thus, "singing") which pacifies enemies in in a swath in front of him. He also wears potently enchanted platemail which lets him become ethereal. trident of fish command
Relationships
[edit | edit source]Allies and minions
[edit | edit source]Prince Elkerst has successfully negotiated trade agreements with the Fruztii and Schnai[1] to the north of the Great Kingdom, which keeps them from raiding Atirr or any nearby Torquann holdings. In turn, he sends his own ships to bring them weapons, in exchange for wood and furs.
Prince Elkerst also maintains diplomatic ties with local sea elves living off the coast, thanks to one of his most trusted advisors—Ryshern Stefanem, a powerful elementalist.[1]
While Prince Grenell personally dislikes Elkerst, he needs the trade goods for his supply lines, and therefore they have an uneasy truce.
Personal
[edit | edit source]Elkerst was fostered by Prince Anxann's father in his youth, and wants to marry Anxann's sister, Siskinama, until Anxann becomes an animus.[2]
