Y2K+1 Updates and Upgrades to The Dreaming City

29 December 2001

In a fit of end-of-the-year nostalgia, I updated a non-Greyhawk page!  Woohoo!  Dog Stuff was worked over a bit, though it still needs a few more coats before I'll be done with it.

14 December 2001

I updated various Greyhawk links again.

30 November 2001

I added links to good Greyhawk mapping sites on my Greyhawk Links page.

26 November 2001

Further updates to my wish list.

15 November 2001

More revisions to the Greyhawk links page.  I also trimmed my Stuff Wanted page to reflect the loving generosity of my family in the birthday gifts department :-)

12 November 2001

I made a correction to my sources for The Divinities of Oerth, changed my Abyssal Creation Myth, updated the Rob Kuntz Bibliography, and fixed some bad Greyhawk links.

4 November 2001

I finally built a page to start to sell some of my miscellaneous stuff that I no longer want:  Grodog's Stuff for Sale.  Please read it, decide to buy something, and email me :-)

I also updated my Greyhawk listing of adventures published in Dungeon and other gaming magazines.

30 October 2001

I corrected the links to my Amazon.com wish list on my Stuff Wanted page.  I also added the Secret Archives of Rob Kuntz to my Greyhawk page, as well as a new page on The Divinities of Oerth.

29 October 2001

I worked more on my Divinities of Greyhawk page (not linked in yet), and built out the Greyhawk Errata info.

24 October 2001

Final revisions to the Stuff List.  Really.

22 October 2001

A host of small changes to various Greyhawk pages:  Greyhawk Tournaments, Greyhawk Links, Grodog's Greyhawk Campaign, Greyhawk Artifacts, Greyhawk's Mythic Geography.  I also tweaked the main D&D page.

21 October 2001

I updated the Greyhawk Dungeon Adventures page through Dungeon 89.  I also corrected a few typos and corrected page titles in several Greyhawk pages (which were all showing the Greyhawk Tribes page title...).

20 October 2001

Revisions to my Stuff Wanted List, including a ranked order, and some new items from my Wizards of the Coast wish list.

On the Greyhawk front, I build a new Greyhawk Errata page.  I'm also beginning to plan a new section on rare Greyhawk manuscripts:  someplace to hold info about Gygax and Kuntz's original Castle Greyhawk, Kuntz's El Raja Key, Anderson's Blackmoor Castle, the fabled and lost Stoink manuscript, etc.

14 October 2001

I posted several updates I've made over the past week, including my 3e version of the Goristro demon, and the beginnings of a listing of lesser-known and less-explored Greyhawk Gods.  I also updated the Greyhawk Links page.

6 October 2001

I updated the Stuff We Want page, since the birthdays and holidays are starting up again.

30 September 2001

I added additional info to Greyhawk's Abyssal Layers, including a creation myth (more will follow), standard demonic abilities, and some tweaks to the Greyhawk tournament listings.

27 September 2001

I posted the voluminous (for me anyway) updates from yesterday, and linked in The Abyss for Greyhawk.

26 September 2001

I updated the main Greyhawk page.  I also added a link to Treasures of the Dragon Queen from both  Greyhawk Tournaments and the main D&D page (which I also revised).  I also tweaked the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, Greyhawk Links

On the non-gaming side of my life, I revised my literature page, The Dog House, added a link to my friend Aaron Harris' The Mad Coyote's Ongoing Gambit to Grodogiana, and our contact info.

19 September 2001

I updated my Greyhawk Thank You page, and the main D&D page.

18 September 2001

I made some corrections to info in the Mythic Geography of Greyhawk, and added some info and a link about Gary Gygax's cousin, Hugh E. Burdick (inspiration for Heward), to my Greyhawk Anagrams page.

12 September 2001

I cannot fathom the kind of plodding, deliberate evil that attacked the United States yesterday.  I don't have the words to express the sympathy and heart-felt sorrow that Heather and I feel for those who have lost loved ones in the attacks.  I will write more on this when I am able.

11 September 2001

I changed some info on the Greyhawk Tournaments page.

8 September 2001

I tweaked my Greyhawk links and the main Greyhawk page, added the rest of my notes to the Greyhawk Dungeon Adventures that I'm able to detail (lacking the other issues, unless they're still in one of my other boxes . . . . ).

5 September 2001

To clear off some space on our desk, and on my main Greyhawk page, I expanded my Greyhawk in Dungeon Adventures notes, and broke it out into a separate page from the main Greyhawk one.

1 September 2001

I added information on The Layers of the Abyss to my Greyhawk pages, and will expand on them as time allows.

27 August 2001

I added some additional information to the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth page.

26 August 2001

My third installment of Excerpts from the Demonomicon of Iggwilv appears on Canonfire, and elaborates upon the history and powers of Baphomet, Demon Lord of Minotaurs.  I'll get back to some Greyhawk tournament research updates on Imrryr this week; I'm also beginning to work up sketches of the 3-D maps for the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth.

18 August 2001

Another installment of Excerpts from the Demonomicon of Iggwilv appears on Canonfire, detailing The Glooms of Hades.  I tweaked the following Greyhawk pages, although no major additions were made:  Grodog's Greyhawk home, Greyhawk Thank Yous,

11 August 2001

Canonfire went live, featuring---among many Greyhawk-related contributions--Excerpts from the Demonomicon of Iggwilv.  This will be my regular column detailing the demons, devils, daemons, and other nasties of the Lower Planes in my Greyhawk campaign.  For the premiere article, I detailed The Cabrir, a mythical demon that plagues other demons.

9 August 2001

I added some initial info about the "Quest for the Golden Orb" (Origins 1984 Greyhawk RPGA tournament), and expanded the Greyhawk tourneys listing in general.  Minor additions to the Greyhawk Anagrams and  Greyhawk Artifacts pages.  I also added the Greyhawk logo to any Greyhawk page that didn't already have a Greyhawk Adventures logo.

8 August 2001

I updated Greyhawk Thanks, Greyhawk Artifacts, Greyhawk Links, and started to build a Greyhawk Research - Request For Comment page.

7 August 2001

I added a listing of adventures published in Dungeon Magazine (and set in Greyhawk, of course) to my main Grodog's Greyhawk Adventures page.  Corrected a few minor typos in the Lost Caverns page.

6 August 2001

I added some historical details about the writing of the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, culled from Gary Gygax's interview in Polyhedron #2.  I plan to get this essay completed soon, and will be adding similar tidbits to it over the next week.

4 August 2001

I updated the Greyhawk links, with many additions, some changes, and a few subtractions; tweaked my Greyhawk Campaign page; and, lastly, many additions to my Greyhawk Thank You page.

24 July 2001

Updates to my Geology, Greyhawk, and Greyhawk Tourney pages.

23 July 2001

And a long delay it has been, between updates.  Heather and I have moved, so I've updated all of our contact info, and have added the final draft of our wedding ceremony to the wedding page.  We'll be adding images sometime over the next month or so, and should have images on www.vguest.com soon, too.

On the gaming front, I've added some links to the essay on Greyhawk Gates, and will begin to add more Greyhawk content both as we develop our campaign (which began anew on Saturday, 21 July 2001!), and as I dig through my old research notes.

28 April 2001

Final work on the wedding vows, ceremony, and such.  Some minor tweaks, additions, and corrections to a few Greyhawk pages, and my main games page.

18 April 2001

More work on the wedding :-)

8 April 2001

More work on wedding stuff; note that today is the last day to register for the group rate at our hotel.

5 April 2001

I added a portrait of Heather and I to the wedding page, as well as my pictures of me page.

4 April 2001

Just 38 days to our wedding!  Woohooo!!  Tonight I tweaked Heather's page a little, as well as the wedding page.

27 March 2001

I updated the Mythic Geography of Greyhawk page (retitled from the Legendary and Magical Sites page), added a few links at the Dog House, tweaked the content of the Greyhawk Artifacts, Greyhawk Tournaments, and Ghost Tower of Inverness Lost Dungeon pages, and added more meat to my Greyhawk Campaign page.

26 March 2001

No updates for almost two weeks!  Hmmm.  Do you think I've run out of Greyhawk things to write about?  Nope, I've just been spending time with my wonderful fiancee Heather, who was out to visit from 16 to 25 March.  We had a blast!  I'll have to write up some stuff for my bio, where it really belongs :-)

Tonight I worked a little more on my Greyhawk Campaign page, but otherwise spent time catching up on email.

12 March 2001

I continue to research Greyhawk Legendardy and Magical Sites, updated the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth page, and tweaked the Greyhawk Artifacts page.

11 March 2001

Worked a little on the Greyhawk Legendardy and Magical Sites page, and a few more updates to tghe Greyhawk Tournaments page.  Happy Birthday to my dear heart, Heather (who turns cooler, even more beautiful, and much more wonderful today!), and to my web page, Imrryr (which turns five).  Woohooo!!

Aaron and I got together today for a good afternoon of plotting and planning for our Greyhawk campaign:  we tackled mythic geography, the planar landscape, how to roll history back to -400 to +300 CY (and what implications result:  countries don't exist, adventuring during the Migrations, etc.), and

I'm also flip-flopping again as to where to put my Greyhawk campaign notes/changes vs. my 3rd edition notes/changes.  So, the outlines currently appears on both pages.  If you would care to offer some suggestions or guidance, drop me a note:  I could use some input ;->

10 March 2001

Well, tomorrow is my fiancee Heather's birthday, as well as Imrryr's (the site will be 5 years old!).  I've gotten Heather's gifts, but haven't figured out anything cool to do for Imrryr, so I guess the gift will be a belated one (perhaps very belated . . . . ).

Tonight I worked on Greyhawk Artifacts, Tribes, and created a page for Greyhawk's Legendary and Magical Sites.

7 March 2001

I modified the general format and font of several poems.

6 March 2001

Tonight I worked on all of my old bios from The Dog House, smashing them into AGaramond font; I also build the Update from the Flatlands bio that I should have built from last summer but didn't.  I should have one to cover the six months after that soon, and then, just maybe, I'll get around to keeping things a little more current.

5 March 2001

Before dinner, I added links to The Dog House (for JMS/B5 fans) and to the Moorcock pages, and linked and tweaked my literature page (which needs some serious attention and soon); added footer navigation and the viral font (AGaramond, in case you've forgotten by now) to all of The Dog House pages; and performed general tweaking throughout the Greyhawk stuff (including the creation of a Greyhawk Thank You page.

4 March 2001

Added further intra-site navigation across the bottom of the various D&D and Greyhawk links.  Also worked on the Greyhawk Tribes and Anagrams pages.

2 March 2001

Hey, Imrryr turns 5 years old on the same day that the love of my life turns 29!  Wooohooo!  (That's 11 March, in case you need a prompt).  I'll have to see about planning something cool that celebrates Heather and Imrryr.

Well, tonight I shifted around some content between the D&D and Greyhawk pages, and broke out a seperate page for my budding Greyhawk campaign (which also includes my tweaks to Greyhawk to accomodate 3rd edition D&D).

28 February 2001

Well, there was a fairly severe earthquake in Seattle, WA, today, and it got me thinking (especially after the 4.4 quake on Sunday, which was basically the first one I've been fully-conscious of experiencing).  Therefore, I'm building an earthquake page, so that anyone who would want to access information about earthquakes in my area could do so, if necessary.

I also added the Cyborg Name Generator to Grodogiana, and made several revisions/additions to our wedding page.

27 February 2001

Wow, it has been busy in the past two weeks.  I've been out of town twice, and updates have been slow in coming.  However, on the plus side, Sandy and Emma Antunes of RPG.net have fixed my upload access, so I should be able to make live updates once more.

General changes throughout my Greyhawk pages, and revised several poems.

19 February 2001

I've been out of town a twice for a few days, hence no updates.  In the meanwhile, however, I have received the original tournament version of S4, The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth [sic], so I have begun anew on my Lost Caverns research.  I also made minor updates to most of my other Greyhawk pages.

7 February 2001

I made substantive additions to the main Greyhawk page (which netted a general reorganization and cleaning the format up), and to the Lost Caverns page.  I continued to tweak Greyhawk Tournaments (as I learn additional details), and D&D (some new links and reorganizing), and created new additions to the Greyhawk Links page.

6 February 2001

I updated The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and Greyhawk Tournaments, and, on a more practical level, published the outlines of our wedding page.

5 February 2001

Yet more writing about The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth.

3 February 2001

More work on The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, Greyhawk Anagrams, and Greyhawk Tournaments.

30 January 2001

Well, I moved again over the weekend.  Ugh.  I hate that.  Thus, I haven't work on the web site as much over the past few days as I would have liked.  I continued to develop The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth page.

28 January 2001

Some continuing work on the The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth page.

25 January 2001

I updated the games, D&D, and Greyhawk Tournaments pages.

24 January 2001

I worked on a mixture of stuff:  materials in The Dog House (including the creation of my films and TV page) and in Greyhawk.

23 January 2001

I added the poem china's scars to my Newest Poems page, and revamped the format of that page and all of my main poetry pages:  Migration Patterns, Newest Poems, and Door Poems.  Watch AGaramond spread like a virus . . . .

22 January 2001

I worked on the various Greyhawk pages into the wee hours of the morning.

21 January 2001

While I continue to tweak the Greyhawk Lost Dungeons (in particular S4's page), today I mostly worked on other areas of Imrryr:  modifying The Dog House, Grodogiana (which I'm going to shift in focus to links to people and friends I know, and move the various non-people links elsewhere in Imrryr), music, and my Astronomy links pages.

20 Januray 2001

I made some changes to the Greyhawk Lost Dungeons page, and then broke out its sub-pages by module (creating pages for C2 and a shell for S4).  I also tweaked the D&D page, my contact info, and my new tunes and music pages.

19 January 2001

I worked up some more thoughts on Greyhawk Lost Dungeons, specifically about The Ghost Tower of Inverness.  I'm looking forward to working further on The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, once a certain manuscript arrives in the mail (a hearty Thank You to Adrian Newman).

17 January 2001

Sandy, Emma, and Ivy Antunes, kind hosts of RPG.Net, have assumed control (to quote 2112) again.  Long live the Royal RPG.Net family!  Unfortunately, the transition to power has been somewhat problematic, so Imrryr will probably experience some downtime over the course of the next week or so.  Drop me a note if you see anything really fishy (and I don't mean Cthulhu!).  Thanks.

14 January 2001

I foodled with some more Greyhawk materials, and began to sketch out two more Greyhawk pages:  one devoted to "Lost" Greyhawk Dungeons, the other to tracking down known Greyhawk tournament scenarios.

12 January 2001

On the gaming front, I may attend the Bay Area Games Day tomorrow, as my apartment viewing/stalking schedule permits.  I also put a link to the Bay Area Roleplaying Society on my games page (which needs to be reorganized/rebuilt, I think [along with many more of my pages...]).

I've tweaked my Greyhawk page a few times over the past week, and began to work on the easiest of my esoteric essays, about Greyhawk Anagrams/Puns/Homages (easiest since it's basically a listing in its present form).  I also started to build a D&D page, although I haven't done too much with it yet.

I added a link to my sister Alison's web site (visit there for Sailor Moon fan stuff), and my friend Matt Cowger's web site, named Tenebrous Technologies; both links are on my Grodogiana page.

5 January 2001

I updated the Moorcock page, removing many very old, and very bad, links.  I also tweaked the Elric Image Gallery by adding more links and reformatting the page a little, including my new favorite font.

4 January 2001

Wow, look at that---updates within the same week!  I created the shell for my World of Greyhawk D&D page, and will begin to fill it out as time allows.  You can sneak a peek at some of the topics I'll write about there.

I also updated my games page, which I really should break out into seperate pages I guess.  I also provided some information about Michael Moorcock's new Elric novel, The Dreamthief's Daughter, and built a shell for my wedding page.

31 December 2000

Well, well, well.  It's the end of the year, and lo and behold I have done little to nothing with this web site.  Oh well, sue me ;-)

I have, however, on this very day, changed all of my header files (which is rather a pain, and something that, in general, has kept me from updating the page just because of the sheer hassle of it), and updated my contact info, since I've moved and all that.

Soon I shall start to design my D&D and Greyhawk pages, and my wedding pages, because I should at least do that much before the year and millennium have spent their last breaths.  So, off to work I go....

28 October 2000

Hmph.  So much for lofty goals and web updates.  Don't expect the non-updating trend to change much in the near future, either, since I'm relocating from Lawrence, Kansas, to the south bay area of San Francisco, CA.  I'm (finally) leaving Sprint (boo!) and will be working for Juniper Networks (huzzah!).  I'll be building Juniper's internal support knowledge base, which should be fun, exciting, and hopefully a lot less stressful than all of my projects at Sprint.  We'll see . . . .

I did manage to start a new 3E D&D game, but I never did get around to putting any info online.  That's primarily because we haven't really played very often, alas.  Perhaps I'll re-start the game in CA.

In the meanwhile, I've updated my contact info with my proper email address (grodog@earthlink.net), and will post more details about the move, etc. as they become known.  Adios!

30 August 2000

Sadly, I think that anyone who once was a regular reader of Imrryr has probably drifted off to more-often- updated pastures.  (Of course, I don't know that since I no longer get logs from rpg.net since Sandy, Emma, and Ivy left . . . ).  One would almost think that Y2K had stuck down the spires of The Dreaming City.  Not true, not true.  I have simply been ignoring the web site.  I like to think that I have a good excuse, and you can read all about Heather, my fiancee as of 19 August 2000, on her own page 8-), but in fact I can't blame Heather for my own laziness and lack of desire to work on a PC at home after working on one all day long.  That I blame on Sprint (and more specifically, on Sprint ION and Sprint Broadband Direct).  I plan to update Heather's page with some more recent photos (including her ring) soon, and then to amalgamate her page further into The Dog House.

In other lofty goals, I shall add a World of Greyhawk section to the games page, since I'm beginning an old-style D&D game using the new 3rd edition rules.  There will be updates about the campaign, various magic items, monsters, and the otherwise usual D&D bric-a-brac as well.

You'll also note the new font.  Out with the Bookman Old Style, in with the AGaramond; I recently revamped my resume using AGaramond, and have grown rather fond of it.  Well, at this point I hope to update the site again on Monday of Labor Day weekend, but only time will tell if that's this year or next . . . .

1996 through 1999 Updates

Return to Imrryr.
